Trends of Human Resource Indicators in Cyprus 2018-2024 (January 2026)
The comparative analysis of trends in human resource indicators constitutes an important tool in monitoring the efforts of each Member State of the European Union to achieve national targets. The main objectives include increasing the employment rate, improving the adaptability of human resources and enterprises in an ever-changing environment, and promoting better- and high-quality investment in education and training.
These objectives also feature prominently in the national Recovery and Resilience Plan 2021-2026, “Cyprus – Tomorrow”, which aims to strengthen the resilience of the economy and the country’s potential for sustainable and long-term economic, social, and environmental growth and prosperity.
Monitoring the long-term trends of human resource indicators is of great importance, as it supports informed policy-making as well as the adoption of corrective measures. The HRDA, drawing on its long-standing experience in human resources and labour market issues and within the framework of its role and mission, has established the systematic monitoring of trends in human resource indicators in Cyprus. In this context, it proceeded with the preparation of this study.
The main purpose of the study is the comprehensive analysis and examination of trends shaping human resource indicators in Cyprus during the period 2018-2024.
The study includes useful data and information, which will contribute to the formation of a comprehensive, long-term, and reliable overview of the labour market with a focus on human resources. It is expected that the findings and conclusions of the study will be appropriately utilised by the relevant stakeholders.
